Laboratory Chemist (m/f/d)

Welcome to the HARKE TEAM
We are looking for a chemist to join our team in Malmö. This position is well suited for a recent university graduate in chemistry, but candidates with relevant professional experience are also welcome to apply.

The role focuses primarily on formulation development within the skin & hair care and chemical engineering / industrial products sectors. Formulation work is mainly based on raw materials manufactured by our European suppliers and distributed to customers across the Nordic region. In addition, the role places a strong emphasis on regulatory aspects, including the creation and updating of SDS and other documentation.
Your mission
  • Development and optimization of formulations based on supplier raw materials
  • Laboratory work related to product development and technical problem-solving
  • Close collaboration with product managers and customers throughout the Nordic region
  • Providing technical advice and application support to customers
  • Work related to product safety and Safety Data Sheets (SDS) 
  • Handling of samples and sample shipments
  • Use and maintenance of the company’s product safety system
Your profile
  • University degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience in formulation development is an advantage
  • Knowledge of product safety and SDS preparation is a plus
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Proactive, structured, and solution-oriented working style
  • Detail-oriented and quality-conscious
  • Strong communication skills in Swedish and English 
  • Comfortable combining laboratory work with customer interaction

Vendico Chemical AB, as Part of the HARKE GROUP, is based in Malmö and specializes in the distribution of raw materials to the Nordic chemical industry. We represent approximately 20 European producers and operate in an international setting. The company has around 15 employees and offers a broad role with opportunities for professional development, responsibility, and close collaboration with both suppliers and customers.
